This ministry
consists of being a friend to people living with chronic
or terminal illness and expressing that friendship in
visits, phone calls, providing transportation, running
errands, providing meals, attending Mass and social
events with them, sitting with them when they are sick,
and providing assistance to their families.
The St. Pius X CARE Team is one of several teams comprising
the South Texas Interfaith Council. Clients are assigned
to the Care teams either by the Interfaith Council coordinator
on referral or by the pastoral staff of St. Pius X.
If you are interested in joining the CARE Team,
or you know someone who could benefit from this ministry,
please contact the parish office at 993-4053.
